On June 3rd, City Lights will host a night of poetry and remembrances to celebrate our 85th birthday. Special guests will include: Will Alexander, Mei-mei Berssenbrugge, Susan Howe, Sylvia Legris, Nathaniel Mackey, Michael Palmer, Nathaniel Tarn, Rosmarie Waldrop, Eliot Weinberger, and our master of ceremonies, Forrest Gander.

This joyous evening will include readings of the work of seminal poets from the New Directions list. And staff members from City Lights and New Directions will be standing in the wings to share anecdotes from our great shared history.
