William Everson

William Everson (1912-1994) was a Beat poet and critic born in Sacramento, California. A close friend of Kenneth Rexroth, Everson was also part of the San Francisco Renaissance. He was the founder of Lime Kiln Press, and wrote extensively on the poetry of Robinson Jeffers. Everson was a countercultural icon who went by the name, “Brother Antoninus.”
